MineVast vs ManaCube, a controversial topic.

In the past few months. MineVast, (The server's old name) was changed to ManaCube. Now, I am not going to rant about every difference and every hated part of everything like my KitPvp rant. Which in my opinion was unnecessarily posted. I really did not think before posting that. But back onto this topic. MineVast to ManaCube was not just a name change. There were rank changes, staff changes, and overall, server changes.

MineVast used to have plenty of more ranks than the 3 we know and love today such as:

- Premium
- Vast
- Sponsor

But ManaCube only has 3 buyable ranks that are:

- VIP
- VIP+
- MVP+

Which they had changes ranks. So what?

But the thing that makes me a little bit disappointed is that the Sponsor rank that was on MineVast that people had bought. When they went to transfer it on ManaCube after all the rank removals. People got VIP+ instead of MVP. Keep in mind, Sponsor was a $200.00 rank at the time that some people had bought it. And to see the rank go from a $200.00 best rank to a $70.00 best rank kinda upsets me. The people who paid full price and lost money to get deranked down one rank kinda disappoints me.

Before I go on a hate train. I want to say, there were some bad things that MineVast had that were changed during ManaCube to actually improve. Such as staff communication, or even communication between players in general.

There is one more reason for why this topic was made. And I believe that the biggest reason I made this topic was because of the loss of players during the change. On average, ManaCube lost 100 players just during the change. I was able to find this out by the help of a few of my friends who were on the server during the change.

The rant of "MineVast is dead" was kinda sad to see. As many memorable players on the server who were noticed by many had left due to the "dying" of MineVast. The whole change between everything cause a whole lot of players to leave. Which I know this for a fact. Does not make the server look good.

Now I do not want to address everything on this topic. Because I do not want to have a all out war in the thread comments. I wanted to keep it simple with 3 topics. And a little bit of siding from both teams. MineVast, and ManaCube.

Thats all for now. Thanks so much guys

I agree with you. Even tho there was also Premium, Vip, Legend, Vast and Sponsor. Not only Premium Vast and Sponsor. This were very original ranks. :3
You forgot adding the new owners and the skyblock/survival reset.

I tried to keep it simple. I didn't want to make a 120000 character rant about the topic. But thank you for agreeing. After people disagreeing with some of my other posts. Helps me out to know people agree with things I speak about.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying, andrew. It was sad to see old players leave, but out of all that I knew, at least most of them stayed. The server may have lost a lot of people, but it certainly made up for it with Graser10 and Kiingtong's arrival. To be completely honest, I absolutely hated it when people complained over the name change. My response to everyone who complained about the name change was, "It's the smallest part of the update. Deal with it. It may be what the server's called, but it's what the server has that puts it on the map." I still stand by that statement today. The anger has certainly calmed since the change, but you never know when it might start back up again. Anyways, I hope to see ManaCube stay as a fun and peaceful server, like how it was when it was MineVast.

Another note: when the ranks were changed, the reason people with the Sponsor rank didn't get MVP was that MVP didn't exist during that time. It was only VIP and VIP+ that were the new ranks, until MVP was added 1-2 months later.

Yes but maybe VIP+ that had sponsor would get MVP.

Honestly, I do miss the good old days of ManaCube(MIneVast) but it was time for change. Yeah the sponsor problem is kinda of scam to people that payed the full $200, but you have to remember that MineVast had non-stop sales up to 50% - 75% off. That's when most players purchased their sponsor rank. I'm not saying everyone did this, I bet theirs a hand full of people that spent $200 on the actual rank. Although this was a problem there was no way they can go threw the records of people that legit bought and people that bought it on sales, to give the buyers who legit bought the sponsor rank and give them the MVP rank. Also I do agree that the staff communication is awfully better! Minevast has been threw ups and downs with the player activity. Coming from a player that has been on the server since 2014 where there were only 1 player on the server all together. All the players that left were mostly players that despised the new changes and couldn't stand the new policy's that were happening. Yeah Minevast was dead for a moment when the changes were taking place, but honestly I think this new changed chased out mostly all the trolls and disrespectful players that intoxicated the server A LOT. Coming form a active member on Creative, I can say that creative is less of a toxic place then it was before. So for my last words, I like the new change. Yeah, I miss some of the old things from Minevast. Though its time for a change once in a while even if its bad or good.

A large majority of the community stayed through the update, and while it is true we lost a few players, we gained quite a few at the arrival of the new owners, Kiington and Graser10. MineVast had been "dying" prior to teaming up with them, and it was likely a plus for both sides to do so.

I do understand where you're coming from though, and I do coincide that it's unfair that the biggest donors did not receive the highest rank after the transfer, but I believe as stated above, there were only 2 ranks before, VIP and VIP+.

Just for some information, because that's what is missing out on here. The change to ManaCube is not the reason for the rank changes. That was wayyy before (5 months). The ranks were because the EULA thing, so I don't see why the blaming of the rank changes goes with the ManaCube change. The ManaCube changes only helped the community. I like the new style in hub and ManaCube actually got a theme, MineVast never had that clear of a theme. I like the little changes in the staff team and by the way, the staff team is constantly changing and trying to do their best, no matter, if there is a big change, a little change or 0 changes at all. I also agree with foosh: The players, who left, because of the ManaCube change were the disrespectful people in the biggest parts and people also always complain. No matter what we try and who is trying.

I think the change did not change as much as people think, because this stuff would change anyways, but I like the new style and new changes. Changes are nearly always good and these changes definetly are for the majority of the people.
