Hello, So recently xDacon (Dakota) added the Pride Month Crate to support the LGBT community and all purchases towards this crate 50% of it will go to charity.

I just was wondering what does the manacube community think of this new addition and do ya'll like all the items you can get from these lovely crates?

If you would like to purchase some pride keys for the crate the link and time of availability is down below. :D

Available from June 18th - June 30th https://store.manacube.com/category/696764

i like this idea, since the community acknowledges this in the world. I also like how 50% of the $ goes to charity, this shows the best in manacube! :D

(For the Olympus crate)

I’m not a big fan of the change in cubit price. Now you are guaranteed to lose money on this crate as the cubit reward is now 3, instead of 4 (the key costs $3.75USD).

3 Iron golem spawners are one of the better rewards in this crate as they have a "Common" rarity and igs are very rare and can sell for 100k-250k mana each, so with 3 of them, you might be able to get your money's worth.

2x Pride keys is also a great reward because it has a high set value. (it won’t depreciate until the crate expires)

Rainbow kit is unique and permanent, although it comes at a high price for something a lot of people might not use.

Infinity chests sell for $16.25USD in the store so it would be a great reward if you wanted or needed one. However in-game they are not worth nearly that much because they are incredibly slow due to being bottlenecked by hoppers. Minions are far superior to infinity chests (but cost more).

The builder wand I suppose saves time but I'd rather spend an extra 10 minutes than $3.75.

2 legendary keys are a decent reward but chances are you will still lose money despite having 2 keys.

Dragon fruit bombs sell for 500 mana each so 64 of them would only be worth only 32 cents.

It's always a shame to see the 25k mana crystal because it’s only worth 25 cents (0.25 cubits at the standard rate of 1k mana per 0.01), so a huge loss in money. Keeping in mind, with a normal pickaxe, I average 950 blocks a minute. So in under half an hour, ANYBODY could earn this much mana.

I sell 100k XP for 15k mana so at that pricing the 400k XP reward would only be with worth 60c.

Sell multipliers go for a lot of different prices, however, it is never as much as 375k mana, so another loss in money.

The rank upgrade paper is decent value for the price of one key as a typical rank upgrade is worth $12.50USD. However, you will only have the rank in Olympus (at least that's how it used to be) and it will only last until the end of the season. Rather than buying keys I would recommend buying a permanent rank (assuming you don’t have one). And to those who received the rank upgrade paper and want to sell it, SELL IT FAST. Towards the end of the season, they will be worth next to nothing, and I believe they sell for a reasonable price right now anyway.

The bow and shield are both collectible items (I wouldn’t risk losing them in pvp) so they would sell at whatever they buyer is willing to pay.
The armor (in Olympus at least) is pretty much the same as previous crates but with different names. I would say these items are like the bow and shield and are only meant to be collected so their value depends on how you feel about collecting disposable Minecraft items.

The shovel (in my opinion) is stupid to have in the chest, because the fortune is useless if you're using it for dirt (which most people will), and it only costs 19250 mana to make yourself (not including fortune), which is roughly 20 minutes of mining. If you did happen to decide to add fortune, it would bump the cost up to 42650 which is still only 43 cents worth of mana. Even so, I would recommend spending that extra 23k mana on something other than fortune.

The sell wand, although it's limited, is good value due to the multiplier. I hope the sell wands in crates like these will always have a multiplier in the future.

The titles really depend on the player and as far as I know can’t be sold. If you wanted them then well done, if you didn’t tough luck.

Rainbow chat color is similar to the titles, a lot of people won’t use it because it’s kind of ugly and hard to read. A lot of people do want it because it’s a cool thing to have. Value really depends on the player who gets it.

All in all, you will most likely not get your money’s worth with this crate (like most of them). However, it was meant to raise money for various charities, which is a good cause and I think this should be done for all season crates. If the rewards were better, I think it would generate a lot more revenue towards the charities, because revenue for items like these are usually almost all profit (It doesn’t cost a lot to make the chest and it won’t cost much, or anything at all, to make the items better). I would rather donate the full $3.75 directly to one of the charities than spend it on a crate key, but that's just my perspective.

tdlr: The crate is a waste of money and you should donate directly to the charities instead.

I just want the crate to be in parkour already, man. That's my take. I do appreciate that half of the earnings go to a good cause, we're kind of giving back to others, y'know.

Ikr, I was sad to hear it wasn't added to Parkour yet all the other modes are having fun except us.

From bouncing between Olympus & Survival recently, I’ve seen a lot of different opinions about the crate, the items in them and suggestions for improvement. It’s great hearing and seeing players’ feedback.

One of the suggestions that I’d have to agree with, is on Survival - It’s quite a common one now, that being players are a little frustrated that they’re paying IRL money to potentially win blocks (glazed terracotta) that could be purchased in /shop with in-game money. For servers like Olympus where you can’t really get these, it’s a great addition, but for Survival and anywhere else that you can access them, I believe there should be something else in its place.

Overall though, I love the idea of a charity crate, and whole-heartedly support the charity chosen, and commend Dacon for doing it.

I love the Pride Crates. The titles are probably my favorite part of what's in the crates. My overall favorite thing, however, is how 50% of donations will go to charity. I've heard of The Trevor Project and I will definitely buy at least 1, if not more, pride keys to show my support.

Good things come to those who wait ;)
I really want them too though ngl

I love that Dacon is doing this for the LGBT community and that he is supporting the charities with it. I bought keys solely for charity and getting the rainbow chat though so getting that changed to yellow would be a bit sad. But it does make chat a bit obnoixus.

Hi Hi.

I'd like to start off by stating the obvious, that 50% of the profit made from the keys would be donated to charities is what pursued me to get a few for myself. It speaks heavily for the server as a whole to make contributions to charities, even more during the month of June... Which is Pride Month. Now tog et into what the community values them as depends on which server you will be purchasing them on.

As Danny gave us a rundown on how much they are typically values on Olympus I wont go into that too much. I do find that the most wanted items are actually the titles and chat colors. This is due to their limited amount of time, and rarity rates that they have. I personally opened 5 keys and received things such as; rainbow shield, rainbow boots, and some other things. I also purchased a rainbow bow from someone else... and traded my shield for a rainbow helmet. I find these items fun, and I'm happy to have them.

I would like to see some quantity of items raised in order to make the price a bit more understandable if a player isn't lucky enough to get the more wanted drops. An example of this is the dragon fruit and sell multipliers as their value has decreased dramatically as season two has gone on. This can also be said about the Iron Golem Spawners as they are not the most efficient way to make income on Olympus, many people tend to avoid making Iron Golem grinders.
