A really good way to make money is grinding! Spider eyes sell for a good 50$ per eye, while 4 blaze rods sell for 100. Another good way is to sell things in /auc! As long as it's something people want to buy, and it's a reasonable price, people will most likely buy it!

This so far has been really cool, I myself was able to win the itemfilter perk, OP Frozen Boots, and HEX block. I'm thinking about buying more keys in the future, considering I have such good luck.
