Well, I don't know other game modes that well, but Atlas is very nice indeed.

I'm actually team tank, cause it's easier for me to just tank the damage then die from something stupid. you should probably focus on getting mobs on the outer ring and critting them (or just hit if you're getting hurt). Remember to kill the bears first cause the next wave can start with them...

I don't like messy mining too!

Not a bad idea, but takes a lot of effort to put in place. And a lot of new players.
