It's been 9 months ;) And I don't see what's beneficial about this, the only times I can think of not wanting someone to build directly next to me is in bannable instances of griefing (such as cobble monsters).

Do you keep your windows open all the time? I've never had either in my room, worst I've ever seen were some minor bugs like ants, a few spiders, and a roach.

The Bald Eagle isn't one of the smallest, in fact it's one of the heaviest (heavier than Wedge-Tails, even) and longest! It eats more than just fish as well, such as carrion (decaying animals, like vultures do) as well as any kills it can steal from other animals (just like Minecraft players!)...

As stated above, a toggleable filter (on by default) would work best for this, in my opinion. Many players don't mind swearing, so unless the word is something like a racial slur (e.g "hard R", s**c, etc), it should be fine.

Based on common server trends, there will probably be a sale around Halloween (or, possibly, earlier on Columbus Day? Doubt it, though). Also, as Aury said, there's a decently high chance of a sale around the time that something new on Buycraft drops, such as crates.

I'm leaning towards selling them, or at least disposing of them in some way. I think they should definitely drop, though, because I remember using poppies for dye a LOT back when I used to play Skyblock.
