You can destroy trees and get wood. There is no point in giving more wood. It is just to do a crafting table and maybe a pickaxe or an axe.

Superpowamario are you talking about Survival? If so I would have to agree (30 is too much I would have to say about 20) but for just the time being. Mainly because for a new player, the world is so griefed that it does take a long time to get to an area that's not griefed.
