Earth is a Towny server with a player ran economy, meaning no Admin shop. The goal is to make a town and use that town to seige other towns.
When joining Earth you will be given a kit starter and $300 and a starter kit (you can pull another starter kit (/kit starter)). There is a map you can view by doing /map, This will show where all towns are along with where you and other players are located.

To go to the Wild you can do /wild and select a continent. By clicking the nether star it will teleport you to a random spot in the wild, but will not charge you any money to do so.
There are a variety of ways to make money. You can either kill bosses (/warp boss), participate in ManaPond (/warp pond), do jobs (/jobs), or sell items to other players.
A great place to sell items is at the player markets (/warp playermarket) Here you can rent stalls for up to FIVE days. It is an easy place for players to visit and is located near /spawn.
Chest shops are a great way to sell items when you’re offline. Other players can view chest shops by doing /shop and selecting the item they want.
To format to create a chest shop is:

<buying/selling> - (buying means you are buying the item, selling means you are selling the item)

Once you get to $5,000 you can make a town to protect your items/builds from griefers in the wild. The command to make a town is /t new <name of new town>
The commands I would suggest doing immediately are:
/t toggle pvp off (turns pvp off inside town claims)
/t set perm off (makes it so new players you add to your town cannot build/destroy/look in chests unless they are in a plot that they own
To view plots you can do f3+g.
