Any tips on getting a C?

So I have 1 plot with an old west theme. I have a shopping center, hills, an oasis, a bridge, and a mine. I have no idea what else I should add to fill the space. Also, should I add more space and get a plot next to mine? I really wanna get out of this "D" rut I'm stuck in. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

you should add some terrain and organics to your build, a plot doesnt have to be big to get a good grade but the area inside the plot needs to be filled pretty well, if youre lacking terrain and proper structure design you might not get the grade you want
