There is a very easy way to avoid death and its very annoying. People just bow boost away and once their out of combat they log out. This is very annoying as it ruins the fun of playing knowing your opponents will just get away and it's just a waste of time trying. Something that will improve kitpvp season 10 is making it so bowing your self puts you in combat. If bow boosting put you in combat people would actually enjoy chasing others across the map.
