Earth Towny suggestions and bug tracker

Oki so there are a few bugs on earth towny and i think that it would be easier for everyone if they were in one central place.
this will also be a place for some people to put their own suggestions for improving earth.

so the bugs will be listed here, as well as the latest date that they were found to exist.

this is not an exhaustive list and i invite any players to also try and test to find some themselves.

as for suggestions the current people i have asked have come up with the following

Venjans
Additonal jobs like: Miner Lumberjack Fisherman.
They should fix the live map
Lower the cost of starting a new town
Have a tools and weapons upgrade system like olympus
Make manapond or boss event have shorter cooldowns
Add new event
Update the /help command

Patron+ color prefixes. If we're allowed them in the discord i don't see why we can't have it in game.


[Earth specific]
update the current and future sva enchants so that they are more in line with Season 1 SVAs.

standardise the enchants on SVAs. there are some svas with 4 different versions all with different enchants

make it so that boss only despawns once the next boss has spawned, as sometimes with low player counts it means that it despawns whilst people are soloing it

change this text color as it is very hard to read

Thanks for creating this post we are looking into all the bugs and suggestions posted. I will list out and go over all the bugs and suggestions listed here.


Wiki

• Dead URLs. They are not really dead just not finished articles we will be working on getting them all finished soon.
• Nation wiki saying joining a nation decreases town upkeep cost has been fixed.
• Enchantment article saying "Click on the red wool twice" -> now says "Click on the checkmark".
• Enchantment article now says white scrolls can be applied to armor in addition to tools/weapons.
• Player commands article doesn't specify which town or nation rank you need. We don't plan to have it specify what rank gets what this info is already specified in the town management article and the plot commands will be rank specified in the plot article.
• Nation wiki saying it cost 25k to make -> now says 50k.

Bugs

• /t bankhistory | This command does work the info in it doesn't stay there forever as it's better for the server to have it clear after so long.
• /wiki | will bump this to see if we can get all the articles linked to it.
• /top -> right-clicking to view full board | Has been reported.
• Assistant not having access to toggles | Has been reported.
• /enchant | This only seems to be broken at /spawn but it works in the wild/town world.
• Can't add scrolls or CEs to gold armor | Has been reported not really a bug though.
• Not being able to add haste to shovel | Has been reported.
• Custom effects are being removed or altered due to switching to a different item with similar effects. | We can't really fix this but I will ask seeing this is just normal minecraft mechanics for example the /nv issue. Using /nv gives you the night vision, yes but switching to a pick with nv will update your effects making it no longer perm on when you switch off the pickaxe.
• Will look into the issue regarding golden apples and different armor pieces like skeleton & Fullmetal.
• Valentines shield not giving the effect if you switch to fast | Scroll slower.
• /stats not showing the right health | Will look into and report if this is a bug same for stats above the player head.
• /xpbottle not being given to non-ranked players | /xpbottle is a rank perk listed as /bottle under /perks vip+ and above.
• /shopgui breaks all options | You are not supposed to use /shopgui use /shop instead.

Venjans - Bugs/Suggestions

• Dynmap down | Devs are working on fixing.
• Suggestions for additional jobs have been passed on. If you guys have more ideas for these I would love to hear them.
• Lower the cost of starting a town | I think the price is fine it doesn't take long to earn this amount.
• Tool upgrade system | I don't see something like this being added to Earth. It just doesn't fit Earth's theme of sticking relatively vanilla.
• Mana event times being lower | The current event times seem fine making them happen too often will not be good for the eco.
• Add new event. | Any ideas for this event? We are open to suggestions.

Pooskin - Suggestions

• I can pass on the suggestion of allowing the boss to stay spawned in longer than 30mins.
• As for the SVAs I don't think we plan for SVAs to be more in line with season 1 seeing that was on Mineville and stuff has changed now that we are a part of Mana. We are always open to suggestions for enchants & standardization ideas for vaults though if you wanted to give some.
• Will pass on the suggestion of changing the text box color for the chest at spawn.

Sarabtg_36 - Suggestions

• Auction House | This idea has been suggested before. The reason we don't have it currently is because it doesn't fit Earth's theme which is to make players move around and have to travel. Having an auction house takes away from this.
• Vote Rewards | We don't have voting you can sync to get access to the daily /cow for free.
• Custom /kit perk | Any ideas of what this kit could have in it?
• /emotions | Is a perk normally won from seasonal crates.

Thank you for keeping the post updated with your most recent findings. I have gone through all of your most recent bug reports and I will address each one of them below.

• SVA shields not giving effects when in off hand.
  • Has been reported
• /crate view does not work in wild, spawn or in claims
  • The correct command for this is /manacrate view <name of crate>, which does work.
• 6x6 trench shovel breaks clay blocks but drops nothing.
  • This was reported to us recently, but has been reported.
• Absorption from SVAs carries over to LPS.
  • I was unable to recreate this, I reached out to you on Discord to try and recreate the bug so it can be reported.
    • Since then you sent me a video recreating it and I confirmed the bug and reported it.
