Gates

Hello, I understand that this map concept isnt your typical parkour map, but I was hoping to get some help anyway. If you look at the attached file you will see a doorway. It looks like you can get through it but you cannot because there is a gate underneath a carpet. The gate is accessible from the right side and when opened, you can pass through the doorway. Now my question is, if this were a map, and 'Bill' opened the gate to pass through, would the gate open for everyone, or will it only open for Bill, and act as a closed gate for everyone else. If the gate opens for everyone it ruins the whole thing. I was hoping someone familiar with the mechanics of this server could help me out.

Unfortunately, it would stay open for anyone. I think if you thought about it a little harder and maybe used Redstone, you could find a different way to handle the door. Good luck with the map!
