This is a common problem with minecraft and is usually easy to fix.
Make sure you are connected to the internet while trying these:
Close the minecraft you have open, wait about a minute, and start it up again.
If that doesnt work, try restarting your computer.
This problem happens to me when I leave the game open for too long and this is how I fix it.
