Most effective way to gain Mana?

Heyo -

i"m pretty new, and have been playing on Survival for like 3 days. There's a LOT to learn about the currencies, server mechanics, items that are allowed or not allowed... I was surprised to find I couldn't buy string

My question: What's the most effective and efficient way to gain Mana?

I signed up for a job as ah Hunter, and have been using a public mob grinder, but it takes a really long time to gain Mana, and maybe that's by design, but then I see people with orders of magnitude more Mana and wondered if there's a better way.

Use your heads to give to /kilton and unlock the slayer levels,
Once you reach slayer level 3 you can grind the zombie pigman on the left side by standing on the ledge
Since you are standing on the ledge, the pigmen cant kill you and you will be able to grind alot of them really easy
Since this is the easiest slayer mob to grind it will be the easiest to get mana crystals from

Note: All slayer mobs drop mana crystals from a common crystal (250 mana) to a rare crystal (1500 mana), However the zombie pigman are the easiest to kill and the best for getting mana

Or you can just buy the mana 2mill/1k from players who have alot
