Shout being very annoying.,

Hello, fellow Manacube players :)

This post is about Shout, the /shout command which is given by buying Elite. The shout feature is nice, but it is very annoying for players, and for me. The cooldown which is 10 minutes, is not enough. Players use /shout to just talk to each other like it's their own private conversation. So they start texting non-stop and the whole server's chat is spammed in White, Bold text. Since the shout's text is bold, it spams the chat and it's awful! People write crazy long shouts and make everyone's chats be full of White and Bold letters.

So here are my suggestions:
- Make /shout's cooldown 25-30 minutes.
- Make the chat's color grey.
- Make a word limit (eg. Maximum 10 words)
Here are other suggestions from other people:
- Let players mute / ignore shouts.

I think many people will agree with this post, and I hope we can change anything. /shout is not fun and annoying all Manacube players.

Tbh shout is very useless. Its only purpose is to tell like to tell someone to /hug you or someone else or you to show them something.
Ether add like a mute command or just make the text smaller or something that dosent catch your eyes so well.

I think shout is cool, and it’s a small feature given to players who only buy Elite. I don’t mind it that much, but I can see how it could get annoying. I think the 10m cooldown is fine, any longer would make it not worth it, in my opinion. The text size is also fine, it’s meant to be eyecatching as only the players who purchase Elite can use it, But I definitely think there should be a way to turn it off. IE /shoutoff or something and you no longer see shouts. I’d definitely suggest taking this to the suggestions website linked here!

Yea no I disagree if I’m paying 120 or so for this I better Have my money spent well. Like 10min is more than enough for cool downs. And there’s a way to not see chat if it’s annoying to you or to others.

I don't think disabling my chat because of shout is fair, why should people suffer from people who bought Elite? I don't mind all the things elite members get, as long as it doesn't make other players' game experience worse.

People act like having /shout substantially improves your experience. Sure, it may be a neat thing to have, but it's incredibly minor to ask for a longer cooldown. What would you need to /shout every 10 minutes? I find the fact that it was implemented in the first place questionable in itself, but a 20-30 minute cooldown wouldn't hurt anyone and would prevent a lot of useless chat spam. There should also definitely be an option to toggle shouts.

There are other ways to silence the chat, if I’m going to pay 120 or so for a rank I want my money well spent. And since it’s a 10min cool down there isn’t chat spam soo I disagree 100% with your argument

Its a great feature just a small majority of people abusing it and making it look bad for everyone else that uses it. I support making it less frequent though.

There's no need to raise the cool down. There's an incredibly simple solution: have an option where I can hide shouts for myself.

I agree with this and the suggestion for people to be able to hide them. I have been slightly annoyed recently since so many people are shouting out for people to go somewhere just to hug them or asking questions resulting in many shouts replying. Glad someone pointed this out!

Edit: Many people suggest to have the ability to ignore shouts. I agree. This could be very useful.

I agree its irritating but perhaps intended I'm more concerned with the stuff that is ruining the game for everyone like young children and stuff.

There is no need to remove shout altogether but I truly believe that they should definitely add a /muteshouts command or something on the similar branch.

I think that chat filter would be nice instead of removing shouts. Just make players to be able blacklist shouts in chat would be enough.

I like Shout command some ppl just use it to often and when it's not needed. I am okay if we up the time to 15min but taking it out its going to far in my opinion .

Honestly i think id like to see the cooldown removed and just add a way to turn off shouts clientside. shouts are fun the banter is nice to see. The only thing id like to see is a filter to remove the emojis out of shouts because that kind of spam is just annoying and not funny
