Next log will be for art overhaul, since I think the actual level itself could use some polish. Following that, I'll make a dialogue system and maybe clean up the unity scene itself.
Sorry for lack of updates, Took a break after the super grind of June... Am back at it tho! My logs will be longer and probably more in depth now. Right now I'm implementing a pause menu.
12/18 scripts rewritten, I completely rewrote all the code for the boss, and now it's a little less janky with how the hands move to the player and the extra hit in the special attack
First longplay! You can get a feel of what fullscreen for this game looks like. The script im rewriting right now is over 400 lines and sucks ass (Idk what the hell I was cooking when I wrote it lol). Please send prayers frfr
btw I still need to rewrite / document 12 scripts, and I've completed 6/18 so far in total. Some of the scripts are like only 20-30 lines, and some are almost 200-300 lines. Luckily, some of them are actually well written and only require basic documentation, while some require rewriting many lines (My player movement rewrite cut over 100 lines and put most of the code into 2 methods lol)
At the end of the buffer :(. Tommorow, I will upload a few minutes long gameplay view of what I had when I presented this. Then, uploads will be slower unfortunately because I'm out of videos.
To compensate for lack of uploads yesterday, here's 3 more! Another 10 down, and we're nearing the end of my buffer :(. Uploads will continue as normal until I'm out of videos tho so dont worry.
So, I kinda forgot to upload yesterday... that ones on me lmao completely forgot because I had to write up an essay that was assigned yesterday and is due tommorow (Big thanks to my english teacher...)
More logs! Got a backlog so I can continue redoing code for a bit. We're getting close to some Boss footage. After we're done with the backlog, I'll show a full run of what I had when I presented this to my class.
Presentation went well! Won't be making new logs since I'll be rewriting all of the code to not be shoddy (Had to cut some corners to get it in a playable state...) but I'll still be uploading the ones we got in the backlog, it just means I'll have less of a buffer later.
These 3 had a lot of physics shenanigans I had to work with (Only have highschool physics on my belt lol) so it doesn't look like a lot, but it was a bit of a pain to get done. Next 3 will mostly be about the enemy atk.
I won't be uploading on monday btw - I have to actually present this thing then (It's a lot further along than the current logs, dw) and I've been grinding so I want to take a break on monday so my life isnt consumed by Zenith lmao. Afterwards, I'll be rewriting a lot of the shoddy code I've done (lots of redundancy) so that I won't lose myself later on, but I'll still be uploading logs since they're weeks behind.
