For the past few years I haven't been active on Manacube and instead focused all my time at becoming a game developer! PixelVal is my main project, that being an immersive and colorful 2d pixelart exploring/parkour game! It features huge maps, course worlds, Discord integrations, easter eggs, a console, a web browser (for some reason :/) and a map maker!

You can have a look at some Game screenshots if you want, or even check the game for yourself on Itch.io!

(short teaser)

Unreal engine 4! Tbh you shouldn't use unity, unreal's just way easier and has much more support from it's community.

Yeah I'll definitely have to look at my options especially after the pricing controversy. I was thinking about trying to hop on UE5 but it seems like it's still having some earlier UE4 "It's too complicated!" issues. Thanks for the tip though, I'll definitely check out UE4!

UE5 is the same with UE4, however it supports features that only AAA games would want to take advantage of. So, unless you are going for a realistic game and not a simple platformer like PixelVal, UE4 would be the better option, yeah.
