caleb!it means the person goes by he/him and/or she/her & they/them pronouns. so like, if ur talking about them in the 3rd person, you might say: he is very cool. i remember a few weeks ago, they would.... etc. u sorta alternate between the pronouns sometimes, maybe they're fine with ppl choosing to use either set of pronouns. honestly depends on the person.
SSM_GODWhats the 'they' part for ?
I don't get that; I always call people they
CowaminThanks for the response caleb! And ssm, you should use the pronoun they/them when someone doesn't identify as either a male or a female. My understanding is that these people are gender nonconformative
frszHeya! I just wanted to expand a bit more, and I use she/they pronouns <3
in my understanding, most people who use they/them pronouns identify as non-binary, but people who use he/they or she/they may also identify as non-binary, or they may identify as male or female. in my case, I identify as female, but I am still comfortable with being referred to as "she" or "they" and I like when people alternate, but I'm also-
frszfine with people use one or the other. I hope this helps! everybody has a different preference : )
SSM_GODBut like, why do you need to add "they"?
Don't you use that for everyone? Lol
caleb!@ ssm most of the time (from my experience) if you know someone uses he/him or she/her pronouns you would stick exclusively to those pronouns when speaking directly about them. the addition of they adds that they could be referred to as they in the third person singular, when talking directly about them. idk if that made sense
