what version do you play on and what country? I am on 1.8.9 and from America and the server works perfectly for me. Could be a number of issues, are you on a wired connection?

From my knowledge, the only way around this is to make soups not instant eat; they would be deemed worthless if thats the case. You could start a poll to get them removed so KitPvP only has Health Pots.
