This map was created in Creative on the server. I saw two comments that I understood very well, and revised my parkour to a better version than before. My plot is in the Creative world (Plot #1, RockPuppy12)
First, I did have my map as Medium, then I changed it to easy. That was not a good choice I made. I think this map would fit Medium very well, because it has some challenging jumps and the jump count is 54. (Medium is said to be 40-65 jumps) I also went through a couple of easy parkour maps on the server, and some medium to get another feel for what the difficulty should be, and I am firmly saying Medium.
Also, the map still has 3 Checkpoints
I changed a lot about the look of the map.
- One thing I would like to note first is I took out the transitioning with the parkour from biome to biome themes. For example, I had the glass panes from the desert parkour in the beginning and ending of the desert corner, cutting out some of the actual parkour blocks from the previous corner (In this case, The mountain).
- "The actual biomes were carbon copies of each other in terms of the four corners lay-out" Each biome now has a unique layout. Starting with the Mountain biome, I made it more curved and tall. Something more natural in a Minecraft world. The Desert was cut into a flatter space, I added some cactus for a pop of color, and a small area of water, of course like a natural desert would seem to look like in Minecraft. Moving on to the Nether World, I cut out a lot of random pieces of netherbrick and replaced them with a bit of a fortress. The Cold/Ice Biome was shortened, with a bit of a hill and I added some various dirt blocks, trees, and made it look a lot more realistic by adding snow to a grass block. Now, to talk about the dark and dreary "Ocean" Biome. "The colour scheme you use to create the areas sucked away a lot of the colour with many darker tones" I feel that this comment was made because of the Dark Prismarine I used. I replaced all of the parkour blocks with a lighter block of Prismarine, and most of the outside of the temple was also replaced with another block.
In my opinion, the map really does look a lot brighter and more well put together than before. Thank you for the feedback on my previous post.
EDIT: I have recently added some different height to the glass panes, put in a lot of barriers (to keep a nice path that is strict) and did a bit of revising to the nether fences - adding some more jumps.
The map now has a total of 64 jumps.
