Currently, everyone who plays survival agrees that PvP is dead. There are many issues with it, like potions (str 2) making some armor useless for as long as you splash them every minute or so, to healing being way too easy, so here is my idea on how to fix it (and make trials alive for a very short time by doing so).
1 Eros is overpowered, and there at first glance isn't a way to fix it. Nerfing it directly would lead to an outrage, and making a better one to overthrow it doesn't work for obvious reasons. I suggest it gets nerfed indirectly, by adding items that nerf healing in general. This wouldn't just nerf Eros, but also allow people who have really good armor to kill each other during PvP. I came up with an item idea that could be a direct nerf to healing:
Staff of the Undying, it would only have an ability and no damage. The ability is to create an explosion that entirely stops instant healing from working, and caps the regeneration at level 1 and removes resistance effect entirely, at the cost of the person using it getting the same debuff. It would have a 100% chance and a cooldown shorter than effect time (100% uptime). It would be too valuable of an item to make it not be an SVA, but also it would create trouble to give it by a festival or crate, so I suggest it is added as a trials reward, obtained by soloing the trials once with each class (for this to work, cap enderman while playing as a weak armor class at 1 for waves 6, 7 and 8, and 2 for wave 9, as well as a new command for trials, /solo <class> which starts the run instantly as a solo playing the chosen class, so people can't join and sabotage). It would be rather difficult to get, but it would always be obtainable.
2 add a cooldown to strong healing items and potions that exist in vanilla. My idea as for how to implement this is by adding a "cooldown points" cost to every item (golden apples would be around 5, enchanted golden apples 45, totem of undying 30 (if you have over 15 points and die with a totem, it doesn't activate and you actually die), str 1 pots 60, str 2 pots 120 etc...) Every second you would lose one cooldown point, with the minimum of 0. You could use any of these items for as long as you have under 15 cooldown points, but the server would stop you from using them if you have over 15. This would screw potions over, and make actually having good custom items important. It also opens the door for new special item abilities and amulets, like making cooldown points drain faster or a debuff that makes an enemy's cooldown points not lower at all for a set amount of time.
3 Better PvP pit and duels. First, make there be 3 PvP pits. The first would be casual pit, no stakes, same as last season pit but not even golden apples drops. Second, the bounty pit, where players can jump in and fight, and money is at stake. There would be a certain bounty on your head when you enter the pit (lets say 25k), and it increases by a certain amount each player kill you get (by 10k lets say). To earn the money from a bounty, you must make it out of the pit alive and sell it to the Bounty Master npc, who can take the player head and give money (you lose the player head, and player heads are 100% drop, decapitation works and gives a cosmetic player head that can't be cashed in). Player heads, potions, totems and similar items drop on death. The third pit would be the drop pit. To prevent unarmored players from going in and trolling, there is a 100k entry fee. If you have an SVA that isn't holy scrolled you would need to confirm twice before being let into the drop pit. Here, all items that aren't holy scrolls drop on death and are up for grabs. When you kill someone who has holy scrolled their items, you will get 1 500 souls * number of holy scrolled items, to give incentive for players to kill. This place would require the VIP rank to enter, so new players don't lose all their valuables by accident.
As for the duels, there are only few flaws in them. Firstly, make personal kit let you bring your whole inventory, unmodified. Some items change for the duel (Morningstar Mace doesn't have enchants, Magical Book doesn't have the ability etc...). Also, add more normal and good kits for the players to choose from, like a crystal PvP kit that allows placing, and max vanilla kit or both player's using the same custom inventory (example: I challenge my friend to a duel with all my SVAs, but he doesn't have some, but he can use a 1:1 copy of my inventory for the duel). Make people be able to bet cubits, spectate and bet on who will win, similar to coinflip but it is a little more skill involved. Make someone's net connection going out result in the duel being continued from where they left if they rejoin in 15 minutes (other person can go play in the meantime and just reenter the duel if the opponent logs on), and if they don't rejoin make it count as if they lost. Also add item betting, similar to itemflip but there can be multiple items at stake in the same duel, and the items you are betting can be used during the duel. If both players agree the bet is fair, they will duel for the items, but if one doesn't there will be no duel.
4 LPS kit and rewards. First up, the kit is insanely outdated, add enderpearls (4, 8s cooldown), bow and 16 arrows (no enchants, can't be picked up if you miss), and a small reward for each kill to every person who did over 10 dmg to the dead player in the last 15 seconds before they died would be nice. Fix bugs and skips. Put barriers everywhere except the arena, so epearls don't get you to a hiding spot. There is also currently a hiding spot that has you jump on barriers. Go to the big enderchest and start the parkour, and take a turn to the amethyst crystal. You can jump on the barrier that is meant to prevent you from going there and it is easy parkour from there. This removes the point of LPS, PvP, for anyone who knows it exists (not many people thankfully) and can do the parkour (even less people). Also, add a leaderboard for LPS wins, and make killing someone refill your hp so you can't get jumped and die instantly. Also please give better armor and maybe even make it 1.9 PvP and add shields and an axe. Lastly, LPS and mana pond overlap once. Move LPS by 1 hour to stop that, as it makes people who can PvP miss out on the Pond (not cool), or people not go to LPS because Pond has better rewards (everyone can stand a chance at a 50% booster, but only the best PvPers stand a chance at the legendary key, which is often just a trench item or a shovel anyways). Also please add better rewards, maybe just make it be cubits (0.01c for everyone, 0.05c for top 5, 0.1c + ancient crate for 3rd, 0.15c + legendary crate for 2nd and 0.25c + mythic crate for first)
That would be it for my suggestions, so thanks for reading, and also please be careful for adding new maces. Arcane Mace or Morningstar Mace + ghost pickaxe can deal insane damage whenever they land a hit after using the ability, so if you decide to add more maces don't make enchants be any higher, just make cool new abilities for them (like instantly hitting the enemy if you are looking at it while falling). Please stop mace skill making you do insane damage too, just make it be max 1.5x damage or something, or 2x but insanely painful to level up, or just no damage buff but new charged attack ability (makes you instantly hit the next enemy close to you while falling, and do 1.5x damage and a rather high cooldown that is made reasonable by maces level 500). Also, I never once saw the fishing ability that makes the item your opponent is holding drop, but if it works please remove it. Good items are hard enough to come by already, so don't let them easily be lost.
