Hostile Mob Farm?

Lots of challenges involve mob drops but there are no good ways of getting them (apart from saving up lots of money to get zombie and skeleton spawners). But then how do you get spider drops and creeper drops?
I suggest having a Hostile Mob Farm as well as a Peaceful Mob Farm!

You can get mobs to spawn without buying expensive spawners. There are lots of YouTube videos on dark room mob grinders. Depending on design, they can be used for XP too.

Many players have these and will sell or trade min drops in game too.

Me and Dr_Milkshake made one and spent hours on it but nothing spwned and the room was full dark
