Lost a Bone Axe because it broke.

I thought you would need to fix it on forge like other items. But it turns out it just dissapears.
Is that a bug or is that how things work with weapons?

Not to sure on survival but I'm fairly certain that yeah it does just break I recommend putting mending on it
