I played your map and loved it. However 3 things: Add a Checkpoint at the beginning, find a way to have 1 checkpoint at the part where there are 2 checkpoints, also players can't use buttons so your trapdoor idea won't work. Your map's difficulty is probably more of a medium, I suggest you either change the title to make it medium or make it more difficult. I am just saying this because it might not get accepted because of its easiness for a hard difficulty.

On the topic, your theme isn't very original, if you make it something around iron trapdoors while still keeping the other parts the theme might be a bit more original, just saying this to help you out. Love it and I want it accepted. Also maybe read the format page again (I assume you read it) so you can put things in better order.

Noted. Thanks for the advice. This is my first map so I'm still figuring out what I can and can't do.

also players can't use buttons so your trapdoor idea won't work
buttons can be used, its just pistons that arent allowed (for redstone)

Hey Rvpal,

Unfortunately, I will be REJECTING this map submission.
  • Theme: As we have already have a couple of Redstone-related maps currently on our server, this is a pretty unoriginally themed map submission. I recommend that you look at our list of previously used maps/themes as to prevent such things in the future: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lZKQZMgGev6fXyhZ8nCPkTzNIj0yOjXjUTDvfzKNzl4/edit .
  • Build: Personally, I don't really see a build. It's a bunch of Redstone block parkour with some minor stone structures in between. This isn't gonna cut it. You can't focus solely on parkour and not make a build. We want to see a build. This is unacceptable.
  • Parkour: The parkour was way too easy for the hard difficulty and given how long it is you're gonna have to either buff it or shorten it to the easy jump range (20-40). Furthermore, the parkour was incredibly repetitive. I believe 80% of the map was similar redstone block jumps and the other 20% some ladder/door jumps. This just wasn't fun to do at all. It was the same thing over and over again. You need to be more creative with your parkour and have it be technically varied.
I hope you take these criticisms into consideration when submitting maps in the future, good luck
