Rejected Staff Applicant @B0420 has been widely regarded as one of the most reputable and helpful players in the Manacube community. He is a source of wisdom and the first friendly face which most will meet on this server. He also has the reputation of being extremely honest and having never scammed someone.

But today, everything changed.

Armed with his reputation, B0420 performed a trade with a player by the name of elytruh for the highly coveted Cupid (punch 3) bow, which is worth approximately 1-2 million dollars in the game.

In the trading menu, B0420 complained that it would take too long to press the buttons to transfer money $1000 at a time. Knowing his reputation, elytruh obliged, and B0420 scammed him of his million dollar item, which is worth more than ten thousand kills.

It should be indicated here that the Cupid Bow is one of the rarest and most unobtainable items in the game. Default players and elite players receive punch 2s in their weekly or elite kits respectively. Punch 3s do not even exist in default Minecraft, and were a Valentine’s Day crate item which very few players are now in possession of.

I would like to warn all players to be wary of this individual. He is not as trustworthy as he may seem, and is a trap for new players. Beware of him at all costs if you do not want to fall into his schemes.

A million dollar item is no joke. Some players take a full year to generate that much money.

I am inviting any and all witnesses of the scam when it occurred to join me in testifying that this player is by far one which no one should engage in deals with on Manacube unless operated in a safe and scam free manner.

With love and concern,

Your friendly neighbourhood watchdog, Octaviene

Hello! As we understand your concern of this player, we do not encourage you to make a public post towards this subject. As scamming can be taken to extremities and can be a punishable offense, feel free to report any scams through ./report in-game or file a player report here: https://manacube.com/support/
From there, our ManaCube staff team will handle it :D

Thanks!

Hello! Unfortunately, KitPvP and Factions are two of the only servers in which scamming is not a bannable offense on, regardless of the severity of the scam.

My post serves only the purpose of warning new players to be wary, as this individual has a significant reputation as being someone who is clean and helpful to new players.

Because the offense is not bannable, the only thing we can do is to spread awareness.

However, I appreciate the thoughtfulness of your advice, but a public post is necessary, or he’s just going to keep scamming new players who are not aware of what they’re getting into.

Ask any kitpvp player. A Cupid bow is worth 1-2 million, which converts to about 50-100 cubits.

This is one of the most severe scams that I’ve seen occur on kitpvp in the last 2 months.

I witnessed this and can verify that it is true. The KitPvP community is very disappointed. I will not stand for such lies.

I was present when this atrocity had occurred. Trust is a huge factor when it comes to anything involving business. The fact that he had built up a reputation for being known as a reliable trader/dealer is well known but now that he has scammed something worth that much is unforgiveable. This is disappointing as this scam can lead to said person doing more scams on new incoming players trying to enjoy their time on ManaCube. The trust the community has put into him has now been betrayed sadly. This news is very important. Players should be aware of this kind of thing going on so that their gameplay experience won't be ruined. This kind of scamming can harm the server and its future.
Thank you,
AsianThings

One makes this even more sad is that @B0420 is 23 years old and he scammed and made fun of a 14 year old with @B900 who is also 23, mercilessly for 5 hours after the scam.
Thats Sad.

Unfortunately, scamming is allowed on kitpvp so he wouldn't get banned. The player who B0420 harassed may report them for disrespect and harassment if they'd like.

It's very unfortunate that a bow valued so high such as the cupids bow would be lost to a scammer however public posts about these subjects should be avoided if possible as ash said <3 I understand that you're alerting other players to be careful but it may seem you're attacking B0420 for scamming another player. Scamming is quite common on kit so you should be careful with anyone you're trading with, not just a specific person.

Best wishes,

Nah I think this post is justified because it is completely his fault.

So after B0420 scammed elytruh he started making fun of him in game calling him “stupid” and using other derogative words and had his whole faction constantly harass him and rub it in how he lost the most valuable item in kitpvp, then proceeded to join his call and further made fun of him with his friend B900. After leaving the call they continued to make fun of him in game for the following hours.

I think what kxe is trying to say is that one should not attack him directly over the forums, which is fine, as we are merely trying to spread awareness of his ability to gain people’s trust very easily and subsequently exploit this trust to scam people as illustrated in the example.

However, this does not mean we cannot attack him physically in-game.

As such, you may lay claim to your free real estate, champion.

Who is 'his' B0420 or the guy he scammed? It wasn't B0420's fault since scamming is allowed.

After reading the thread again, I have started to agree with kxe. I realize that even if such a scam occurred, it is not against the rules. It is good, however, to raise awarness.
