people respond to old threads thinking it's new, with a similar question that can be found in an update thread/wiki, I'll forget about a thread I made from years ago for all of a sudden it gets responded to.

I would say for this to work, you could have a thing that says "This thread is old, you should check out the wiki/look for an updated thread from (year)" or something similar.
oh and then bots will sometimes respond to old threads
reviving the thread for no reason

No it aint its cool to see someone try to bring back dead threads

Replying to dead threads helps great old people and ex-staff come back to ManaCube as there have been many changes and updates made since they last logged in, as well as an increasing our post counts. But I can agree that it's a bit annoying. So my vote goes:

-1: For Forum Games section. It is the only section we can increase posts and don't show on Recent Threads
+1: For the other sections

i think making it able to lock your own threads could be an idea but auto locking them i dont see the point of
