A blip up is a jump that allows you to jump higher than normal. This jump is found in some expert and insane maps. the way to do this, is to jump from a certain height, to the seam of a block and a carpet. In a video that I saw, the person jumps from a chest, to the edge of the carpet, and manages to jump 1.5 blocks up. Blip ups are only possible in 1.8 so they can't be done in the latest version.
