Creeper Farms

I'm about to buy a creeper spawner to afk. Will the creepers drop string/gunpowder from fall damage like in other servers? My goal is to make something like in the image. The creepers fall to their death and hoppers collect their items while the person afks. I can only get a creeper spawner, so if you would recommend something else or saving, please let me know. This is my second day. Thanks!

Hey Trip! Welcome to Manacube :) Yes, creepers do die from fall damage, so you will be able to collect their drops using hoppers. A more space efficient method that I use is to drop mobs into lava with signs underneath then hoppers underneath the signs, therefore it'll only take up 3 blocks instead of 20+

personally i would invest in spider spawners, get the heads they drop and sell those, the turn around profit margin is massive
