Rejected DirtSnowEnd - Easy/Medium

Hello ! I'm cobraunie2 and i'm submitting my first map for the second time, the first time i named it "Floating Dragons", it got rejected so i improved
it and took in consideration the comments. I see foward this submitted hopefully !

  • Map name : DirtSnowEnd

  • Difficulty : Easy-Medium
  • Number of jumps : 68

-0.5. The parkour is pretty enjoyable (although it could be a bit more varied), but it's the length of a hard with the difficulty of a medium. The theme is unoriginal as well, and the build isn't great either (low block variation, floaty parkour, cubey, etc)

Due to the biome theme being extremely overused, I don't see this map ever being added.

Here's some important points for any other maps you make in the future!
  • Make your jumps more interesting. Try not to have 3 similar jumps (For example, glass pane jumps) in a row so that you don't make the player bored. The best blocks (in my opinion) to use are iron bars, glass panes, soul sand, ice, fences, heads, and trapdoors.
  • Avoid floating jumps. Although some of the older courses on the server have floating jumps, the standards have increased since then. This is not to say you should never use floating jumps, just that you should avoid them as much as possible.
  • Avoid using barriers to block people off from reaching areas (Barrier parkour is OK if done correctly). (This was not an issue with your map)

Hey cobraunie2,

I'm sorry to have to tell you that your map has been REJECTED. Yet again, the theme is not very original as there are multiple other biome-themed maps and this doesn't really bring anything new to the table. The build is still not very attractive due to its choice of blocks (and repetitive use of them without variation), lack of detail, and floating aspect to it. The PK definitely saw some great improvements compared to the last submission. The length and difficulty definitely fit the medium difficulty (although it's still rather extensive). The variation in blocks and jumps used was much better this time around, making the experience way more enjoyable. It's a solid parkour with an unoriginal theme and subpar build. Seeing that you are able to make changes and are determined fills me with much hope. I can't wait to see more maps from you in the future!
