Ender Dragon on Kit PvP?

Lately I have been seeing the Ender Dragon by the Mesa. At first I was like am I high? But then my friend said he has seen it to and says it is a "Easter Egg". Post screen shots below I think it is just a glitch.

The Ender Dragon is just the leveling up system isn't it? The mesa is just one of many places it is visible.
The leveling system needs a boss bar...
