With factions, you're recommended to go onto 1.8.9.
If you jumped on something like snow in a version higher than 1.9 you will glitch out. If this has happened to you please pm a member of staff/factions staff or go into 1.8.9 to avoid glitching :)
EDIT: If you're on a higher version than what is recommended, you must join factions twice to stay(if you're not glitched)

Like @gapplegal said, the recommended version for Factions is 1.8.9 - however, you should still be able to play on higher versions.
If you’re using 1.8.9 and still experiencing this issue, I can only recommend trying out OptiFine or the badlion client if you’re on a Windows PC/Laptop, as these tend to help out with performance issues.
Failing all that; it may be an issue with your personal connection.
