Hey all!
I don't really play any other game modes on ManaCube other than Parkour, however, I do know that some of them, such as Olympus, have achievements. I love getting achievements in games because it gives me something to work for and it is very satisfying when I have completed all of them. Recently, I have been thinking about what an achievements system on parkour could look like and what some achievements could be. Let me know your thoughts!
Extreme Workout 1, 2, 3, and 4 - jump 100, 1,000, 10,000, and 100,000 times, respectively
First Steps - complete one map
Variety Jumper 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 - complete 1, 5, 25, 50, and 100 maps in each difficulty easy-insane, respectively
Adventurer - complete an adventure map
Skydiving Lessons - complete a dropper map
Supply and Demand - buy and sell something in /ah
I Voted - vote for ManaCube
Gary's Best Friend - claim the Gary reward for a week straight
Spread the Love - give and receive a hug
Oops - fall onto a landmine
Spelling Bee - win a scrambler
Architect - have a map accepted
EDITS
Star Collector 1, 2, 3, and 4 - prestige 1, 3, 5, and 10 times, respectively
What Have I Done? - complete every map in normal and challenge mode
Speedrunner - complete a map in challenge mode
Best in the World - obtain a world record on any map
Slight Addiction - spend over 1,000 hours on the server
Scrooge McDuck - have 100,000 Mana at one time
Speedy Gonzalez 1, 2, 3, and 4 - win a race against someone 1, 5, 10, and 25 times, respectively
Consumer 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 - spend 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, 25,000 and 50,000 Mana in /ah
Those are all of the general achievements I could thing of, however, I also think there could be map-specific achievements, as well as achievements for discovering secrets. For rewards, I think Mana is obvious, but I also think there could be rewards players unlock for obtaining a certain amount of achievements such as a small amount of Cubits, special items, cosmetics, and a Completionist title for achieving everything!
Let me know what you think about these and if you want to suggest more, I will edit this post to add it and give you credit. I think this could be a neat feature for the next big parkour update.
