I have made a Plot to help players who are starting out with trees. (/warp tree_help)
Step one making the trunk

Step two Coloring
https://imgur.com/a/xdZymQo
Step three Leaves
https://imgur.com/a/FY2aoKB
Commands: //replace stone log:12,wood:1
//br sphere 70%air,30%leave 4 then //mask 0 (to remove a command from a tool //none)
The command //replace replaces the block you put in so in this case it replaces the stone into the all sided log and the wood, and the //br sphere is shortened for //brush sphere and that makes a sphere out of the blocks you have put in. In this case it has a percent so the 70% of the sphere will be air and 30% of it will be the block you want in this case its leaves. The //mask is to only have the sphere effect that block so in this case it only effects the air so it doesn't ruin the branches on the tree.
I Hope this can help people out and let me know if there is anything I could add to make this better
