/top: Is it earned or what you have?

So im confused on how /top is calculated. I won 2nd in top last month and spend a good portion of it after. Now my town rank is #66 after we are making more than whats on top. Is it how much you earned or what you have compared to last month? If its the second one I think this should be changed to how much you earn because then it discourages people to actually spend their money if they go for /top. Please give me feedback whether you agree.

It is qhat you have basically. Like how much you PROFITED from that month, not revenue. So if you spend like 100m on random stuff but made a total of 500m in revenue, your top balance would be 400m.

It's like Undiny says, it's what your earn that month - what you use that month = Top score
If it would have been calculated only earnings the same top towns would be on top for the rest if the season due to the new spawner eco

This is so everyone had a fair chance at top no matter your Town size and will not be changed.
