What game mode does this sound like?

Hi, although I've played single player minecraft for a bit, I'm new to the multiplayer aspect of it.

I am looking for a game mode where its standard minecraft, with groups or guilds (not sure what they are called) that build together and protect their area from other groups. Not hardcore pvp, but community with a side of pvp i guess.

Does that sound like anything here? And also, what mode do I have to play in? Win10 or java or it doesnt make a difference.

Thanks for the replies....I'll look into those three, earth, survival and factions, that gives me a direction at least.
