Why does it say i cant sell some items?

I cant sell most items in the shop. I assume i have to unlock them or something which is fine but no matter where i look I cant find out how and its frustrating because i have lots of stuff i can sell. Can someone explain?

There are some items that are just not sellable, there is no way to unlock a way to sell them. If an item is not sellable in /shop there is always /ah you can use to sell. Players buy random things so you would be surprised as to what can sell on the auction house.

Most things of value, such as spawners, hoppers, etc. Won't be able to sell because of their importance in the economy. :)
