Why So Many Slimes?

I've Been Noticing that My Islands FULL of Slimes. What has happened? I've never seen such thing And when i kill 1 slime finally Another One Spawns As quickly as he can. It is really annoying.

Maybe your island is in a slime chunk, they do spawn randomly.

You can set your island as a mushroom biome so no slimes or hostile mobs spawn in (spawners will still work)

Set your biome to Mushroom and the mobs will stob spawning.
