World edit help

So im doing my second major build project and I'm trying to make a moat/lake thing. I'm kinda lazy and dont wanna have to hand-clear all the land. Is there a way to have a custom W/E selection?

A simple command to use is //brush sphere. If you wanna clear out an area such as a lake, you can do //brush sphere air 2 (this will make a brush of air with a radius of 2). You could of course make the radius bigger if you want. You can //undo if you made a mistake :)
