Preface and Disclaimer
Welcome to our current Faction Rules. When playing on Factions, you are expected to read and abide by these rules. No excuses of not having read the rules will be valid.
Failure to comply will result in punishments and warning points, which can vary depending on the severity of the situation.
Please note that these rules are not an exhaustive list of what is and what isn’t allowed and that they may be changed or updated by staff at any time. Warnings may be given by staff in certain situations but do not have to always be given to players who clearly know what they are doing.
Finally, false reporting players or hindering a staff member’s ability to moderate will result in a trolling punishment.
Warning Points
For every Faction rule that is broken, the offending players will be issued a ban and their faction will receive 1 warning point. Each Faction warning point will result in a loss of 5% on F Top payout calculations.
Once a faction reaches 6 warning points, it may be excluded from F Top, disbanded, or punished in any other way deemed appropriate by higher staff.
Rule Bending
Misinterpreting, finding loopholes or warping the meaning of the rules for an advantage is not permitted. In such cases, the situation will be reviewed by higher staff and appropriate punishments will be given.
Scamming is allowed
Scamming players while trading is allowed. To trade with a player safely, use the /trade feature.
Scamming for cubits is NOT allowed and global scamming punishments will be issued as below along with 1 faction warning point.
Auction House Scamming is not allowed
Posting scam auction listing in the auction house is not allowed. The auction house should be a safe place to buy and sell items for all players.
1d Global > 3d Global > Permanent Ban
Warning points may be issued based on the severity of the scam.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
TP Killing / Trapping is allowed
You are allowed to TP kill or trap players. Teleport to players or accept teleport requests at your own risk.
Claim Trapping is not allowed
Unless with the intent of raiding, the act of a faction using their own claims to block others/prevent another faction from expanding is not allowed.
During the grace period of a new season, it is a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE for the factions who claim a border. Blocking another faction after a corner/border has been claimed will result in the removal of the claim of the more recent claims.
Warning > 1d Local > 7d Local > Seasonal Ban [Claims removed for every ban]
1 Warning point will be issued for each occurrence.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
Inappropriate land/faction names
Any sort of inappropriate land/faction names. Staff determines what is and what isn't inappropriate and this will largely follow chat rules.
Faction inactivity disband time
If you are inactive for 14 days, you will be removed from your faction. If you are the leader, faction leadership will be passed to the next highest ranking member.
Raiding / Griefing is allowed
You are allowed to raid or grief any faction on the server.
Insiding
Stealing value from your faction or teleporting enemies into your base. Valuable items include, but are not limited to, enchanted diamond tools/armour, exclusive crate items, spawners, creeper eggs, valuable ores. For a punishment to be issued, the value stolen must be significant enough to affect the factions value.
Criteria that is considered Insiding:
If a player is kicked from a faction while in the base, they may not immediately raid and must remove set homes.
14d Local > 30d Local > Seasonal Ban
Warning points will be subject to the extent of insiding.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
Chunk Buffer Limits
1 Warning point will be issued for each occurrence.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
Raid Claims
When raiding a faction’s base, you’re allowed to place 2 raiding claims. You cannot have more than 1 raid claim on the same side of a faction’s base at a time. These claims must be between 2x2 chunks and up to, but not over, 10x10 chunks in size. You must claim all your raid claims, this includes walls that help you defend those claims. Defenses built in the wilderness will result in a faction warning and if it continues players may be punished.
To allow for counter cannons you must leave a 7 chunk gap on one side of your raid claim. Additionally, you may also receive warning points if your faction attempts to build non-claimed defenses in the defending faction’s cannon line-of-fire.
You can not have a cannon that shoots through more than 1 wall or reverse layer per button press. All cannons must be shot manually unless they are below Y Level 40.
1 Warning Point > 1d Local > 3d Local > Seasonal Ban
1 Warning point will be issued for each occurrence.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
Anti-Raid Claims
When defending your base from a raiding faction, you’re allowed to place 2 anti-raid claims to aid in the destruction of the raiding faction’s cannons. These claims are only allowed to contain counter-cannons and cannot be used as extra walls or other defenses. You cannot have more than 1 anti-raid claim on the same side of your faction’s base at a time and they must not be any larger than 7x7 chunks.
You must claim all of your anti-raid claims, this includes walls that help you defend those claims. Defenses built in the wilderness or in the raiding faction’s line-of-fire will result in a faction warning, and if it continues, players may be punished.
You are expected to remove your anti-raid claims as soon as the enemy faction’s raid claims have been removed. Warning points/punishments may be issued if this is not done within a timely manner, as your anti-raids claims will then be reclassified as an overextension of your buffer claims.
No use of Printer to rebuild defenses while being raided
If you are caught using the Printer mod to rebuild during a raid, you will be punished. You must wait at least 10 minutes after the last cannon shot fired before being ALLOWED to use the Printer mod to rebuild.
3d Local > 14d Local > Seasonal Ban
1 Warning point will be issued for each occurrence.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
No roof cannons over Y Level 253
If you are found to be using or have used a roof cannon over Y Level 253, it will be removed and you will be punished.
3d Local > 14d Local > Seasonal Ban
1 Warning point will be issued for each occurrence.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
No AutoCannons above Y Level 40
3d Local > 14d Local > Seasonal ban
1 Warning point will be issued for each occurrence.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
No multi-raiding/multi-defending
Multiple factions are not allowed to raid a single base at the same time. This includes, but is not limited to: 2+ factions raiding the same base at the same time; a faction raiding one base immediately after another faction finishes [they must wait 30 minutes]; 2+ factions taking it in turns with no breaks to continuously raid a base; 2+ factions defending a base together and players leaving one faction temporarily to join another in order to help with a raid.
They are also not allowed to share a base due to the zero ally limit.
7d Local > 14d Local > Seasonal Ban
2 Warning points will be issued for each ban.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
Faction Splitting/Alt Factions
Factions are not allowed to split to become two factions due to factors such as player limits or to dominate F Top. If a faction does split, the two factions must remain completely separated for no punishments to be issued. If the act of splitting your faction would result in both appearing on F Top, then you will not be allowed to split.
You also cannot use an Alt Faction linked to your own faction to gain a second position on F Top, store TNT or transfer people between the main and alt to increase party sizes. You must not accept people into your faction who have an Alt Faction.
Factions caught acting as one will be issued one warning point each and given 1 day to properly separate. Failure to comply will result in further punishments under staff discretion.
Merging Factions
Factions may not be merged during the map if either faction is on F-Top or if either would be placed on F-Top by the merge. They may only merge if the added f-top gain is removed by a Senior Staff. This will be done at staff discretion and must be approved prior to merging.
In the case of an F-Top payout screenshot being taken while showing the merged value, the value will be deducted.
3d Local > 14d Local > Seasonal Ban for faction leaders
1 Warning Point and removal of merged value
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
Allying/Trucing
Allying is when 2+ factions may share resources, land, raid together etc, all situations which are punishable. Due to this, allying with other factions during this season is not allowed and punishments will be issued at staff discretion with warning points given to the offending factions.
However, trucing is when 2+ factions mutually agree not to raid each other for a period of time. This is allowed as long as no rules are broken in the process.
Teaming
Factions are not allowed to act as allies and may not team for KOTH.
3d Local > 7d Local > Seasonal Ban
1 Warning point will be issued for each occurrence.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
Giving other factions wealth
Factions may not give valuable items or significant amounts of money to another faction. This includes but is not limited to: enchanted diamond tools/armour, exclusive crate items, spawners, creeper eggs, valuable ores. Significant amounts of TNT may not be given to other factions or players. An occasional piece or stack may be given. Staff will determine what constitutes ‘significant’, so common sense should be used. If TNT given illegally is used during a raid, the damage may be rolled back with compelling evidence.
All significant ‘gifts’, ‘donations’ or one-sided trades affecting F-Top Value will result in punishments for offending players and 1 faction warning points.
Bypassing this rule by leaving the faction temporarily, allowing other factions to kill you or by other means will be reviewed and likely result with the same punishments or worse.
Additionally, faction grinders may not be shared with other factions or individual players.
1 Warning point > 3d Local > 7d Local > Seasonal Ban for those directly involved
1 Warning point will be issued for each ban, to the offending faction.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
Interfering or Leeching Raids
While a faction is being raided, you may not interfere with the raid by pvping the factions involved or joining in on the raid. However, you may have 2-3 members of your faction spectating the area to see when the raid ends. These members must not interfere in anyway and 30 minutes after the raid is finished they may notify faction members to commence a raid.
7d Local > 14d Local > Seasonal Ban
2 Warning points will be issued for each occurrence.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
Third party raid detection
Any software that acts to inform your faction that your base may be under attack is disallowed is considered illegal.
3d Local > 7d Local > Seasonal Ban
1 Warning points will be issued for each ban.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
Disallowed mods
The following modifications are not allowed to be used on Factions and if used punishments and a warning point will be issued. This is not an exhaustive list of all mods that are/aren't allowed.
For hacked clients - 14d Global > Global Ban
For other mods - 3d Local > 7d Local > Seasonal Ban
1 Warning points will be issued for each ban.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
Use of Console Clients
Console Clients are allowed.
While using them to alert an on-going raid is allowed, any Faction using software to detect raids will be punished. Console clients are not allowed to perform any tasks that would give in-game advantages such as auto-selling or performing other in-game tasks while AFK. They may not be used to evade mutes.
Encasing spawners
Encasing your spawners with water/blocks in order to protect your spawners from creeper eggs or cannons is not allowed. If this does occur, your protections and protected spawners will be removed, a punishment will be given and a warning point.
If the situation is found during a raid, the spawners will be given to the raiding faction.
Examples of encasing spawners include but are not limited to: completely covering spawners; using water and doors [these are not ceggable]; surrounded or covered by a line of doors/trap doors and any other methods which make it incredibly difficult to blow up the spawners.
You may not evade these rules by placing blocks around instead of on the spawners. This still counts as encasing and is punishable.
3d Local > 7d Local > Seasonal Ban
1 Warning point will be issued for each occurrence.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
Blowing Up Spawners
You may not blow up spawners in order to bypass the mining cost. If this does occur, the spawners will be removed from you, a punishment will be issued and your faction will receive one warning point.
3d Local > 14d Local > Seasonal Ban
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
The following mechanics are disabled on the server:
- Left shooting cannons
- Tnt blows up lava, making regen walls not possible
Stat boosting
Boosting stats, by killing alts, paying other players so you may kill them, or any other means is not allowed. All accounts involved with stat boosting will be banned, this could be the main and alt for example.
1d Local > 3d Local > 7d Local > Seasonal Ban
1 Warning point will be issued for each occurrence.
The above punishment paths are guides and may vary depending on the severity of the case.
Group up with other players in a Faction. Claim land to build and protect your base.
The amount of land you can claim is based on your power (1 power = 1 chunk). Each player contributes 50 power to a faction. If they die they lose 10 power, and it takes 50 minutes to regenerate that power back.
Make sure your power is not lower than your claimed land, or other factions will be able to overclaim you.
Overclaiming is not the main way to raid however. There are other methods such as creeper eggs, or creating tnt cannons to breach through other factions bases/walls (Schematica/printer mod is allowed for creating these cannons). Factions are allowed to create walls of up to 20 chunks out from the center of their base (20 buffer limit).
The more valuable blocks & spawners you have placed in your faction claims, the higher your faction ranks on /f top.
Whoever is in the top 5 on /f top at the end of each month will win cash prizes!

Chunk Buffer Limits
- Factions that claim land are only allowed 20 chunk claims away from their base on all sides. The buffer claims start at the first outside wall of the actual base.
- In the case of two faction bases sharing the same area, they must both have their own base claimed which includes their main base and buffer zone. One faction may not claim the buffer or main base for the other faction.
- If you choose to make a gap between your base and the first wall, the gap cannot exceed 10 chunks in length.
- There must be a gap of 40 chunks between any other factions, be it truces, allies or alts. This gap begins from the end of a factions buffer zone which is a maximum of 20 chunk claims extending from their base.
- If these limits are broken the following will apply.
1 Warning point will be issued for each occurrence.

Blowing Up Spawners
You may not blow up spawners in order to bypass the mining cost. If this does occur, the spawners will be removed from you, a punishment will be issued and your faction will receive one warning point.
