Does anyone have braces?

ok i just got my first set of rubber bands today. It hurts. Is anyone else a brace face?

Used to have them in the past, first 2 days are the worst but after that it gets better :).

Better stick to soft foods for now though.

There was a point in time when I did want braces however after researching I no longer have a desire... to embrace the brace-s

I had braces when I was younger. I also had an awful thing called an Herbst appliance (google it, it's meant to adjust your bite and it didn't work well honestly, it was nothing but troublesome for me) along with rubber bands like you have now. So in comparison to the annoyances of the Herbst appliance, rubber bands weren't so bad at all. They do make the mouth sore after awhile but take some ibuprofen or tylenol and it should help!

we have to ration medicine now cause of covid19 and stores are out of medicine. I took some tho and it feels better

they are so painful but it'll get better after 1-2 weeks. I had to stick to porridge and water, couldn't eat noodles or dumplings anymore ;(

I use to have braces. They were meant to be on for 1 year, but ended up staying for 19 months :( Rubber bands suck, but at least it isn't forever. Plus, you'll have a beautiful smile once the metal is gone, so look forward to that! Thats what I did :)

I had braces for around a year to fix an overbite in my teeth. It made my teeth extremely sore at first; but your body gets use to it after a week or two.
