Hello, just thinking of possible ideas that Faction players may want for future updates, grab any sort of opinion(s) from the Faction community for ideas as well.
1. Raiding Outpost
To explain - The Raiding Outpost is a completely different world where a pre-made base is made with walls and everything. Players have to make their own claim and cannons to raid the pre-made base. The first Faction that breaches the base is the winner of the base, and gets ownership of the base. Once a Faction wins, the base, world resets and the last Faction keeps the re-generated base.
That Faction gets rewards for holding that Outpost (e.g. Sell boost when selling items, Permanent Depth Strider, Spawner Drop Boost rate as examples) and then get items/rewards at an interval (e.g. Mana every 30 minutes, Money every 1 hour, Heroic enchants every 6 hours just as examples). Once a Faction owns that Outpost, other Factions are free to attempt to raid and breach that Outpost for the benefits it gains (standard raiding rules apply here). Repeat over time over the season for the same benefits, money etc. A potential reward could also be for the Outpost to be worth some Faction value too
2. Raiding Event
Similar to Raiding Outpost - new base is genned in, first Faction to breach gets rewards and the event is over. To spice things up - could potentially do it where staff are patching against the players but are unable to counter. Could be an occasional event
3. New Ecos for season
Crops have been dominant for all the seasons. Other economies could also be considered for the future, such as a PVP based economy (Focused on Volcano/Silverfish/Outpost), a new Mining economy where Ores are the dominant way to gain money, other crop alternatives such as Cactus, or even an economy where there are multiple crops included, but with multiple tradeoffs (Sugarcane being Mana focused while Carrots are Money focused, so you have to pick between the two or farm both)
4. Updates to Bosses
Diminisher could be potentially changed, or have new bosses that could provide stronger rewards. Other servers have a system where bosses are global and the top 3 players that did the most damage gets rewards - could do a similar system, introduce new bosses or change up how Diminisher works to make it act more like a boss for other players as well.
5. Race changes, Quest changes
Currently, races aren't prioritised in upgrading and mainly used for either the Raider race (Strength 1 permanently) or Villager (2 extra hearts if you don't have Overload). Could change up the Race upgrades to incentivise upgrading your own race for bonus perks, kits that could help throughout the season. Same for Quests, they could be changed up so they're easier to do and not doing something that's not the standard/usual activities Faction players do
6. More events in general?
Outside of Raiding event, some other ideas are Faction duels (5v5s), Raiding duels (Two factions 5v5 duel, two bases patch/raid against each other, changes to Envoys, Staff-hosted events (The raiding event mentioned)
7. Faction Boosters/Upgrades
Could be changed so they can either be combined, new ones added or certain perks that may also come in handy as some of the upgrades overlap. Happy to take any suggestions if there are any /f upgrade or /f booster ideas
8. Custom Enchant ideas
There's frustration on certain CE's not being as useful as others (e.g. Experience, Telepathy not being as good as other Heroics). Curious to get ideas on any specific Custom Enchants you all prefer, or have any ideas for new ones as well
9. Changes in Season duration/Roster amount?
Unsure if players would prefer shorter/longer seasons, amount of players allowed in roster and main faction member(s). Wanted to grab ideas as well on whether this is currently a good schedule or would a preference for 7 day seasons, 14 day seasons etc with 1 raiding period work out as well
10. Raiding Plugin/Timer
Generally a plugin that would block a 2nd Faction from firing if another is already raiding - and so players don't have to keep track of their own cannon timings/shots, when to gen and when a faction is next allowed to raid after one.
