Why do you want to become staff?
Since the day I joined ManaCube, I have found myself attached to the network. Whether it be the awesome community, or the kind and hard-working staff, there has always been a positive and an appealing environment during my gameplay. I want both existing and new players to experience this as well, and I am eager to assist them in any way I can. Of course, I also aim to support staff and to be a valuable asset.
How long have you played on ManaCube?
I first heard of ManaCube and joined the forums in late June 2023, but I was not able to fully devote any time to the server. It has been almost more than two months since I have been actively playing on ManaCube.
How many hours a week can you dedicate to Manacube? I would say I am able to spare around 20 hours a week. However, that number can easily increase if I do not have anything on my schedule. If I do not have any academic pressure, I am able to easily commit more than 20 hours. In addition, I am very active on Discord and on Forums.
What skills do you feel you have that will help the server?
Given that I have previously staffed, I believe I will be able to apply my acquired knowledge on ManaCube as well. I have dealt with a wide range of people, from calm to toxic, and that led to me learning how to communicate with them effectively. On top of that, most of the time I pay close attention to detail. By analyzing all the necessary details, I can deliver constructive feedback when necessary.
What experiences have you had which could help you as staff? I do indeed have some experience staffing a server: I have been a helper on a medium-sized server that no longer exists, which ran for almost ten years and achieved a large player base during its prime. The community and staff were incredible, urging me to apply for a helper position, and I have been successful in doing so, earning my position as a helper for almost two years. After that, I decided to apply for Moderator, which comprised five active gamemodes for almost a year until the server’s shutdown. Not to mention, part of my responsibility was also to moderate the Discord server and the Forums as well.
What three attributes distinguish yourself from other players that qualify you to be a helper?
Helpfulness is one of the skills I own, and in my opinion, it is the most important. It is in my demeanour to assist others in need. Not only have I been demonstrating that in-game, but also in real world I also tend to lend a helping hand to others because sharing my acquired knowledge with others is what brings me delight.
Additionally, I possess knowledge of three languages, which helps me communicate effectively with a diverse range of people. I am also confident in addressing issues, of course, in a constructive and respectful manner. I have already worked with a team on the previous server, so I am already aware of the importance of communication among the team members.
Finally, I would like to emphasize my commitment to personal growth. Even though this is a Minecraft server, I believe there is a lot one can learn from here, especially from collaborative teamwork. I fully understand that I have not been playing for such a long time, but I am very thrilled to explore new things on the ManaCube network. Not to mention, I have always had a mindset focused on doing things right. If I mess up or make a mistake, it does not discourage me; instead, I try to find out what approach I could have taken. My dedication to helping other people is central to who I am. I want to highlight that I am dedicated to assisting people until they are satisfied. If I cannot resolve an issue, I see it as a chance to learn and grow. This applies to my everyday scenarios, not just in Minecraft.
Please explain what you believe the role of a staff member is.
Having a staff team is indispensable for a server. You can compare a staff team with the developers of a server; without them, a server cannot run successfully. Each staff member has a huge responsibility when moderating the server. They dedicate their time to making sure everything runs smoothly, moderating the network, and also dealing with the concerns of players. They need to employ their soft skills to ensure effective teamwork. Of course, staff members are not perfect, and that is absolutely fine. They seldom tend to make mistakes; however, they are humans too. The role of a staff member should not be underestimated, as they are the people who safeguard the server.
Are you able to use recording software? Yes, I am able to use one.
