I tried to get someone punished for making a racist comment towards another player, and all the helpers and mods told me that this kinda stuff goes unpunished, and as "long as its censored its fine" (even if theyre called Black Ass *****). If people will go unpunished for racism and racial comments, yet I cant put 5 L's at the end of my sentence without getting hounded for "character drag", then this is a failed system. Hey! Thanks for bringing this up on the forums. First I'd like to inform you that racism is strictly unwelcome in ManaCube. I also can understand how from some perspectives it can appear as not so much enforced.
In the example you provided, the main concern was the sentence `stfu black ass *****`. This would generally not fall under hate speech, the same way as saying `stfu white ass *****`. There's no need for race to be mentioned, thats true, but theres also no need for `stfu` generally speaking. At worst this could be considered disrespectful.
On another note, the word that's filtered is completely unknown, sure you can make assumptions on what it is - but the filter did its job correctly. In fact, I would like to let you know, that the word filtered was not the n-word!
Even so, I will pass along your suggestion to the staff team and we will discuss on this topic deeper. Have an awesome day!

Although I will say that I personally disagree with the statement “we need more punishments” - the chat filter was introduced with the goal to prevent punishments, and overall stop players from saying derogatory, inappropriate and disrespectful things, and creating an uncomfortable environment in chat.
If players find ways to bypass this, they are certainly punished for use of hate speech. However, the goal of any punishment is to encourage players to change their behaviour and follow the rules, rather than prevent players who break non-malicious rules from being part of the community - of course, there are always exceptions.
Your frustration is certainly valid, but accusing staff of purposefully ignoring racist remarks is not.

I assure you that the racism punishment are very good, I am a living proof of that since I got banned on multiple charges I guess, since the censored message isnt blatant racism, but attempted kind some might say, staff could try to punish the person for other chat offenses if you ask me. Also if it indeed that censoring is made in such manner to sound racist then that person should receive some kind of punishment for attempted racism I guess.
I think Im one of those examples, tbh Im happy yall added a chat filter, but as a suggestion it should also censor things like ass or any inappropriate words that arent.

The punishment system is pretty good on manacube. it gives players a chance at bettering their act on the server with also keeping the naughty players punished. lots of times players get heated about things and just let loose. it wouldnt really be fair to permanently punish someone for having a bad day. but having multiple bad days back to back means you should probably take a break. and if you cant see that the staff will make sure you do.
But there are times where i disagree with how some players get away with some things and some dont. In your comment "Black Ass ***** " I personally feel that even though it was censored that player shouldve been punished. We all know what they were saying, We all knew the meaning. The intent is there, just covered up.
