Anticheat needs a bit of fixing

Do you like the older ManaCube (MineVast) KitPvp? Or do you like the newer one?

Alright. I just want to say There have been a lot of hackers on KitPvp lately. I will go on and play with my friends. To find people that are hacking. They will do anything from reach, to aura, to even bhopping. Now 90% of the time I usually just /helpop Hacker on KitPvp (Their Name) And staff gets on and usually bans them. Shout out to Katniss. So I've been playing KitPvp on Manacube for almost 2 years now. And the anticheat in my opinion is simply decreasing. I would play KitPvp before and there would be no hackers. There would be wars going on between groups of people for fun. People would be running around killing eachother. Normal KitPvp stuff.

Now I dont know if it's because I stay up and play at 12:00 And that is like the perfect time to hack... Or what. But at the moment ManaCube's anticheat is letting people get away with this. Sometimes they get caught and are pvplogged. But other times I've seen lvl 50-60 hackers on KitPvp, which indicates they have either went ham and killed everyone on the server atleast 10 times. Or they have been hacking for a long time.

Also something I strongly think the community should stand up and talk about is the amount ManaCube tries to improve their anticheat to soon make it worse. Back 2 years ago. There would be hundreds of players on kitpvp including myself having fun. The server was doing great. And staff decided they wanted to "improve" anticheat. Making anticheat better in some ways. But allowing more hackers to come in.

Now I think I have done a little too much rambling on about how kitpvp might need an upgrade or a bit of fixing. So I want to leave it up to the community. I put a pole up and I want to know something from you guys. Do you like the new KitPvp? Or do you like the older KitPvp from before? Don't be shy! Go ahead! vote on the pole!

That's all for now! Thanks so much guys!

I think the anti-cheat is actually better than it used to be.
Yes it could be better but the development of the anti-cheat on Manacube is getting better.
I have personally seen many hackers be kicked by the anti-cheat much quicker than the old anti-cheat.
I do think the anti-cheat does need to autoban more as the hackers just come back time after time when they get kicked.

If you really want to expose the people who blatantly hack that are level 100 and what not you can make a video exposing them. I did such a thing for someone recently and they are now permanently banned.

Also you say that you are seeing more hackers on KitPvP. There is no way of us stopping some hackers as they may have a good hacked client or inject client. Most clients made nowadays are made to bypass anti-cheats for other PvP servers, with those clients they are probably able to bypass the new anti-cheat.

So, instead of making a thread and complaining about the anti-cheat you should report more players on the forums and in-game. Or alternatively start a conversation with Dacon to talk about other anti-cheats and your suggestions.

Good day

I completely agree Inversive. The fact is that it is quite hard to create an anticheat that can keep up with all the new clients. In addition to that, reach hacks are quite hard to prove with anticheat because it would have to keep track of each player and where and when and how far their swing and (though I'm not 100% sure this is true) I think that would lag the server.

As far as I know the best anti-cheats on the bigger servers do not make the server lag whatsoever.
To have an anti-cheat to keep track of all players is what an anti-cheat is made to do. If it cannot track all players at once then it is not really an anti-cheat at all.
The reason hackers on KitPvP or barebones are not getting autobanned is not because the anti-cheat is too busy watching other players, it is because the clients being used are bypassing the anti-cheat as that is what clients are made to do. For other servers reach is either the easiest or the hardest hack to catch. On Practice servers blatant reach is quite hard to catch sometimes. On bigger servers with lots of different gamemodes it is really hard actually to catch reach hackers. Since Manacube is a server with different plugins, activity and perks reach and no knockback is sometimes hard for the anti-cheat to pick up.
I am assuming the whole Manacube Network is on the same anti-cheat, so with that in mind the anti-cheat is watching people in the non-pvp zone and people in the warzone. As you know people in the non-pvp zone do not get hit and will not be knocked back. The anti-cheat knows not to ban people in the non-pvp zone but with that in mind, when the no knockback hackers pvp in the warzone the anti-cheat might think they are in a non-pvp zone and does not ban them.
Althought, as I have said before the anti-cheat is kicking the hackers a lot more often with the new anti-cheat.

Good thing we have dedicated staff to ban the hackers ay.

My mistake. I appreciate the clarification :)
