Hey! Sorry for the inconvenience - this has been reported to the Devs/Admins, so will hopefully be resolved ASAP. Seems to be a global issue with 1.8 in general, multiple players are also having the same error. Update: should now be resolved!

That's definitely a good idea! I believe sending a /msg does make a little "ping" sound effect as well - but this might depend on realms and versions etc, it happens sometimes, but not all the time to my knowledge.
