The problem with what you're saying is that if just running on glass got you banned everyone would be banned, there are players with over 15k kills that have never been banned once. This was fixed the day it was reported, this happened due to a bug in viaversion causing concrete blocks to be shown to later clients when the server thought it was air. This has since been replaced with wool so that the server/anti-cheat can recognize it as a real block.
