Book and quill

Hey, I was wondering why it is impossible to craft a book and quill and if there is a way to obtain them in the first place.

Books and Quills were removed due to a glitch with them. There is no way to craft them or obtain them.

Just to add to what Madi said, I'm not sure about this server but they seemed to be removed on many larger servers due to the ability to write code in the books which can interfere with how the server runs and glitches and bugs can be more easily exploited with book and quills through the use of some of the more extensive hack clients which can be used to lag servers.
