I feel like if I have someone ignored, they shouldn't be able to /hug me. I mean in the grand scheme of the server its such a tiny detail, but some people are ignored for a reason and I don't want their name showing up in my chat feed for any reason.

Update: Reviving this post because this is something I strongly believe in, /ignore should block shouts and hugs!!

I totally agree, these suggestions would definitely make players feel more comfortable on the network when ignoring certain players. In the meantime, if you are on labymod you can use the chatfilter option to block out specific players' IGNs and messages, as well as things like shouts, patron chat, guild chats etc. It's a really useful feature within the client, and I highly recommend this.

That being said, labymod isn't a viable option for everyone; so I definitely agree that extending the boundaries of /ignore would be beneficial for the entire community as a whole.
