Is there a way to keep my automated spawner loaded?

I built and automated wither skeleton spawner but I have to be near the top of it so it can work. Is there any way to fix this? I know its a feature but I took forever building it so I want to find a way.

Hellloo there. In order for spawners to spawn mobs, you need to be near the spawner for it to work. Sadly, there isn't another way other than afking in the chunk.

Hi Timisstrange,
The only way you can have mobs spawn is if you are near it or have another player be near it. Like an alt.
