I just joind the server yesterday but factors that will help you are
1:Beaing helpfull to other players
2:Neaver goten muted or band
3:Beaing active both on the server and on the forums

Show that you are of staff qualification in game. Help others who may need help. Meet/exceed the requirements for staff etc

Keep in mind, players can view your application once you have submitted it. They're allowed to post feedback about it on your application, and give it a "+1" or a "-1" based on their own opinions of "Would you be a good addition to the staff team?". All I'd suggest is focus on the requirements, and think "Why do you want to become staff" and it should come to you naturally if you're ready.
