Not working:
mob item drop
This test was done with the same cactus farm, same plot, same location, same arrangement, same chunk loading, and same arrangement. The farm was built 24 hours + before testing, so there was ample time for any 'development growth' to be done.
if the rate multiplier was working correctly, we would see that the "expect 1.0" for both 1.1 and 1.2 would be within 0.001% difference, which it is not.
Then using the calculated rate with expected 1.0, the 1.2 rate should have been 2.7, but was not.
The difference between the plants per min should have been about 0.2~ which is much greater than the 0.07 which is negligible.
Any errors caused by the farm itself can be ignored because they have the same chance of occurring in both growth rates.
Possible errors would be caused by me. I might have stepped one chunk too far and unloaded the farm. The alt loading the farm may have disconnected. I might have started the timer while there were leftover cactus in the hopper/chest/water system. I might not have collected results exactly on the hour.
All of these errors individually seem like they could be responsible for the 7+ cactus in the 1.2 rate test.
I do not think that any of these possible errors had an effect since they had the same chance of happening during both trials.
If you feel this test may be wrong, I beg you to try it yourself and share the data. More data will never hurt.
